Angela, an immigrant daughter, gets the opportunity to live in America with the sponsorship of her aunt. She hopes to bring her family to the land of the free, but is forced to live a life she never expected and make hard choices. In her struggle and fights to achieve the American Dream, will her selflessness or selfishness take over her actions?
SYNOPSIS
ANGELA
Angela immigrated to America and has lived in the country for 5 years.Waiting for the day she’s approved for her green card, she works as a care-giver during the day and as a slave for her Aunt during the night. She is a kind and selfless person, constantly thinking about her family back in the Philippines, but her personal desires sometimes take over.
PRINCESS
Princess was born in the Philippines and was able to migrate to America on a student-visa. She obtained a job and was able to gain a work-visa which soon turned into a citizenship. She dedicated her focus to her work and as a result, lived alone. This all changed until she got a favor from her older brother, Angela’s Dad: sponsor her niece. Having a person in her life for the first time, Princess channels her anger and frustration onto Angela.
JOHN PAUL
MICHAEL
Michael is Angela’s recent ex. They met during Angela’s first year in America and dated for almost 3 years. Coming from a financially comfortable, upper-middle class background he has everything he wants in life, but this one thing: Angela. After the break up, Michael does everything and anything to win back Angela.
John Paul has been friends with Angela for 4 years. He also immigrated from the Philippines in hopes of obtaining citizenship. With this common goal, John Paul and Angela form a friendship and stick together through everything. He knows everything about Angela and is always there to provide happy moments.
